International Working Womens Day - What is it?

IWW is the global day dedicated to celebrating women and their achievements, and a time to reflect on what we need to do to help make this world a fairer, more equal place. Whilst International Women's Day (IWD) goes back to the early 1900s, when 15,000 women marched through New York demanding voting rights and better pay the IWD wasn't officially recognised until 1911, making this year the 106th International Women's Day.

How are we celebrating it?

At the Union, we will be celebrating IWW in many ways this year :

SPECIAL LUNCH: KU Be Bold for Change 1-3pm, PRJG1005
