UN Sustainability Development Goals

UN Sustainability Development Goals (SDG)  otherwise known as the Global Goals, are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by the year 2030. an incredible 193 nations have signed up for this agenda.

 poverty – end poverty in all its forms everywhere, as poverty is more than lack of income.

 zero hunger – end malnutrition by giving access to nutritional food and develop a more sustainable food sources

 good health and wellbeing – ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all ages

 quality of education- develop an inclusive education with equal access

 gender equality- achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls

 clean water and sanitation- ensure access to water and sanitation for all

 affordable and clean energy- ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy

 decent work and economic growth- promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth, employment and decent work for all

 industry, innovation and infrastructure- build a resilient infrastructure, promote sustainable industrialisation and foster innovation

 reduce inequalities – reduce inequality within and among communities/ countries

 sustainable cities and communities- make cities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable

 responsible production and consumption- ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns

 climate action – take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts

 life below water- conserve and sustainably use the ocean, seas and marine resources

 life on land- sustainably managed forests, combat desertification, halt and reverse land degradation, halt biodiversity loss

 peace, justice and strong institutions- promote a just, peaceful and inclusive societies

 partnerships for the goals- revitalise the global partnership for sustainable development
