This KU Girl Can – can you?
‘This Girl Can’ is a campaign designed to get women participating in sport. This Girl Can campaign, funded by the National Lottery, celebrates women participating in sport and active lifestyles, regardless of shape, size or ability.
This Girl Can week runs from 13th - 17th November where we have a wide range of free activities for females to get involved in.
We will be celebrating women in sport and inspiring all students to try something new or get back into a physical activity through a week of beginner friendly activities. Please see all activities below:

Breathing Techniques (Virtual) *male coach* - 11:00am-12:00pm

Please meet at 11:00am outside Kingston University, Penrhyn Road Campus, KT1 2EE where a minibus will take you from PR campus to the studio. The minibus will then pick you up from the studio at 1:30pm and take you back to PR campus.

Exercise Training and the Menstrual Cycle: What's a Girl to do? (Virtual) - 17:15-18:00pm
The session will be presented by Dr Emma O’Donnell, a Senior Lecturer in Exercise Physiology at Loughborough University. Emma has a specialist focus on the female athlete, including the effects of the menstrual cycle, menstrual disturbances, and sex hormones on athletic performance and cardiovascular function.

This class offers you the opportunity to learn safely while providing a great source of regular exercise in a non-coventional way. It is designed to make you more aware, prepared and ready for any situation that may occur in your everyday life.
