Kingston University Futurology Society aims:
· To promote the future visioning capabilities of its members and the student cohort at Kingston University
· To improve the interface between the classroom and changing the world of work through engagement with the society’s business and industry members
· To stimulate campus wide debate and assessment of the social impact of technologies
· To develop a university wide eco-system that promotes members and the student cohort at Kingston University’s ability to assess how technological developments will impact their professional development
· To drive innovation within the student body through support for entrepreneurial activities focussed on emerging technologies
Kingston University Futurology Society objectives:
· Development of digital eco-system that highlights the new and emerging technologies (web and app development) through partnership and funding support
· Expansion of business and industry partners to promote members professional career development
· Design and delivery of workshops, seminars and guest lectures addressing emerging technologies and social impact on the economy and changing labour market skills
· Creation of resources to support emerging entrepreneurs and promotion of their professional career trajectories
