Faculty Reps

what are faculty reps?

faculty reps are brand new for 2023!

each faculty at the uni is made up of several faculties and each faculty will elect 3 faculty Reps, one undergraduate, one postgraduate taught and one postgraduate research. faculty reps are there to support school reps and will meet with them regularly to find out what’s going on. they’ll be the first point of contact for all school reps within their faculty and keep them informed of developments, decisions and outcomes of their meetings.

faculty reps will work in partnership with the education officer, Abdullah Khan, by attending Faculty Forum Meetings and other university meetings on their behalf. they’ll also meet with other faculty reps to find out what’s happening with other course reps across KU.

faculty reps give each faculty a fair chance of having their feedback raised to a higher level within the uni. this means that your issues will have more of a chance of being solved!

how can I become a faculty rep?

undergraduate and postgraduate research faculty reps are normally elected in the Spring elections for the following academic year, with postgradute taught Faculty reps elected in September.
